The Quills set for world stage

The Quills set for world stage Posted Aug 6, 2008 1:50pm

Indie alternative-popsters, The Quills, are starting to show their worth on the national and international music scene. Within the current climate of popular music, The Quills have found an invaluable ally in Hobbsy as their media consultant.

"Gone are times when spending big on TV advertising and mainstream media is the key to commercial success," said The Quills’ keyboard player, Andrew Stone.

"In the age when our potential fans are living online and reading genre specific press, we needed creativity and professionalism to tie into effective new-media marketing."

In late 2007 The Quills played the Woodford Folk Festival, supported numerous ARIA award winning artists and released their debut EP ‘Some New Place’ which debuted at no. 1 on the 4ZzZfm top 20.

2008 is proving to be as exciting with sold out local shows, national and international tours planned, and an intense repertoire of new material to be released in their debut album toward the beginning of 2009.
